My name is Sandra Escamilla-Meacham, and I am a personal weight management and fitness coach! I’d like to help you meet your health and fitness goals.
I lost more than 50 pounds and have kept it off for over 4 years!
What does a fitness coach do? I offer one-on-one personalized counseling on nutrition and fitness. I am a coach, teacher, and counselor–whatever you need to help you achieve your health goals. I am real and honest and I know your struggles. I know all the excuses that people use because I’ve been there and done that.
What can you expect? I set up a personal weight loss program tailored to your particual needs and lifestyle. I make you a written copy, so you don’t have to remember anything. You can expect me to be on time and communicate with you in a way that is positive. I am available for consultation by phone, e-mail, or text. I can be an AA sponsor.
What’s your focus? I stress nutrition more than exercise because 70 to 80 percent of your success will come from what you put in your mouth.
Where do we meet? I drive around as part of my job, so we will set up times at places convenient for you. We can meet at your home, office, local restaurant, track or park, and so on. I also have a home office.
What is special about your approach? I am Christian, and I do believe He is our greatest source of strength. If it wasn’t for His grace, I would be dead. I respect the beliefs of others and am interested in what others believe. Spirituality is a part of people that shouldn’t be ignored. When I worked for the corporate weight loss industry, I wasn’t free to speak spiritually with my clients. Many of them wanted me to pray with them or speak of God’s strength and wisdom, but corporate policy didn’t allow it, so I started my own business. When my clients wanted to speak about spirituality, they CAN!
Is this all about religion? No. Spirituality is a part of it; and if you desire that, I can be there for you in that way. The rest is all evidence-based and common sense.
Where does exercise fit into weight loss and fitness? As for Exercise – The dreaded word. It’s up to you. I set up a an exercise program and counsel you, but I can’t make you do it. It’s your choice for your lifestyle CHANGE!!! I can work with your interests! I also teach group aerobics, aqua aerobics, and stretching classes at various local gyms.
